Louisa reported to me at THQ Inc and led our complex International region from an HR perspective and eventually taking over from me globally when I resigned as CHRO. Louisa and I partnered with the business to design and implement the HR strategy and to nurture an entrepreneurial culture that would drive high performance, this was a complex multiyear goal given the number of offices and sub-cultures within the company. Louisa was instrumental in evolving the HR function from being transaction oriented to serving in a critical capacity in executing on the company’s short- and long-term goals. She led growth and change projects, introduced leadership coaching and robust performance management, succession planning, skills development and engagement tools that aligned employees with global goals and drove revenue growth and retention. Over the many number of years at THQ, I received consistent positive feedback from the business on Louisa’s approach, counsel and work product and she helped the global HR team to become more strategic in their planning and more proactive overall.
Despite the geographical distance, Louisa and I spoke regularly. I found her to be very collaborative and easy to work with and overall a highly effective colleague. Louisa is organised, calm and balanced in her approach which is an asset in any fast paced, ever evolving business! There really isn’t anything that Louisa can’t do, she has experience in so many different types of business situations and lifecycles, so she truly is an asset to any type of organization. I would highly recommend Louisa as an HR Leader/ Consultant.
