Louisa and I were peers at Getty Images; I was responsible for HR across the Americas and she for European/ International HR. I also managed her for a year while I was Interim CHRO. We partnered closely with our teams to design the global people strategy, understanding business challenges and recommending and implementing solutions. Together, we drove many global initiatives, including complex global restructuring and change projects, leadership development, talent management, and introduced coaching for high potentials and key roles to improve organisational capability. Even though we were eight hours and 5,000 miles apart we spoke regularly to stay aligned globally and share insights.
